Contributors: Pauline Cummins (Artist), Geraldine O'Reilly (Artist), Dr. Tom Turner (UL) Chair: Sheena Barrett (Dublin City Council Arts Office)
'Labour of Love: On the Working Life of Older Artists' looks at the changing labour market and its relationship to the working lives of artists. Work is now characterised by flexibility, precariousness and working beyond the traditional retirement age. This seminar discusses how artists continue to deal with such working situations, and considers the resilience and survival mechanisms used in order to continue to create in later life.
