Bealtaine 2012: Performance, Poetry and Special Lectures @ the Hugh Lane

This May, Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane is delighted to present an exciting programme of special events in association with Bealtaine Festival 2012. Ireland’s largest co-operative Arts festival, Bealtaine celebrates and encourages participation in the arts by showcasing the talents and creativity of the older generation. May highlights include the special talk, 'Old Dublin', a nostalgic afternoon exploring Dublin City Public Libraries' photographic collection, as well as inspiring poetry readings by the Bealtaine Writers Group of poems written in response to the exhibition Barry Flanagan: Silans;  and coffee lectures and painting classes inspired by the gallery collection.
