At a Glance - Art Workshops for Children March - May 2013 (pdf)
Children’s Area and Learning Resource Centre
Children, teachers, families and adults can participate in innovative and enjoyable learning opportunities that explore the collection and temporary exhibitions in the Gallery’s children’s area and Learning Resource Centre. To date, the collection has been explored by children aged three to adults in their eighties during successful and popular programmes. This new programmed, multi-purpose space allows for additional experimentation.
For details of upcoming art workshops for children please go to http://www.hughlane.ie/childrens-workshops/forthcoming or view the Gallery's Programme of Events pdf.
Please note:
Parents must stay with their children for the 3-6 year old workshops.
Pre-Booking of Children’s Art workshops: People are welcome to contact the Gallery Reception desk to pre-book places on the Saturday children’s art classes. However, people will need to pay for the workshop and collect their workshop ticket between 10.00am and 2.30pm on the day of the workshop. After 2.30pm it will no longer be possible to hold places for people who have pre-booked by telephone and places may be allocated elsewhere if there is extra demand.
If someone has pre-paid in advance for their place, their ticket/s will be held for them but they will need to arrive in advance of the workshop start time to collect their ticket/s.
Workshop Tickets are only given out on the day of the Saturday art workshop. There are limited numbers for each workshop.
Late Comers: It will not always be possible to admit late comers to an art workshop after the workshop has started, even if they have pre-booked and pre-paid as this is disruptive and places may have been fully allocated.
