About Childrens Workshops
|
Children’s Area and Education Resource Room Children, teachers, families and adults can participate in innovative and enjoyable learning opportunities that explore the collection and temporary exhibitions in the Gallery’s children’s area and education resource room. To date, the collection has been explored by children aged three to adults in their eighties during successful and popular programmes. This new programmed, multi-purpose space allows for additional experimentation.
Sunday Sketching for 7+ years 3-4pm Sketching workshops take place on Sundays from 3pm – 4pm from September to May. During these workshops we explore paintings, sculpture and some of the architectural features of Charlemont House through discussion and drawing. The classes are aimed at 7+ years, are free and materials are provided. No booking is required for Sunday Sketching although numbers may be limited.
Saturday Art Workshops for children Twice monthly artist-led workshops for children take place on Saturday afternoons from 3pm – 4pm. Booking is essential for these workshops which cost €5 and all materials are provided.
Summer Camps and Workshops During July and August the Gallery holds a series of summer camps and special workshops. These camps will explore the artworks in the Gallery's collection and temporary exhibitions with sketching and artist led workshops. For further information and details on any of our upcoming Kids Club workshops, please consult our What's on pages. Make sure to keep an eye out for any special free family weekends. |
