Join us for a night of culture when we will have a pop-up printing press, an opportunity to make your own simple sketchbook, a film screening of the recent documentary 'Unstoppable: Sean Scully and the Art of Everything (dir. Nick Willing, 2019), speed touring and a performance by Dublin based electronic musicians 'Funk Witch' (Niall Conroy and Brian Carton) and more!
Full Programme:
Pop-up Printmaking: Entrance Hall
5-9pm
Get creative and make your own beautifully embossed image using our pop up printing press with artist Jane Fogarty. Drop in workshop throughout the evening for all ages.
Make a Simple Sketchbook: Sculpture Hall
5.30pm-8pm
Express your ideas and develop concepts in your newly made simple sketchbook with artist Ashleigh Downey. Then using a pencil make your own sketches inspired by the art and architecture of the Hugh Lane Gallery. Drop in workshop throughout the evening for all ages.
Story Collage: First Floor- gallery 15
6pm; 7pm; 8pm (each session up to 30mins)
Use your imagination to create a wonderful collaborative scene in this storytelling game inspired by masterpieces of French painting! Led by Kimberly Griffith. Suitable for adults or parents and younger family members working together.
Film screening: First Floor – gallery 18

Join us to explore artworks in the Gallery with Síle McNulty-Goodwin and tell us what you see in them! Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) is an approach designed to enable people to develop aesthetic and language literacy and critical thinking skills. All ages welcome.
