Hugh Lane Gallery Art Competition 2022: What I Love about the Great Outdoors!
Junior artists get creative! We invite classes from junior infants to 2nd class to enter the Hugh Lane Gallery’s children’s art competition. The theme is ‘What I love about the great outdoors!’ Maybe you love playing outside, bringing your pet for a walk, going to a park, cycling your bike or love looking at trees, nature or clouds in the sky? Maybe you are inspired by the streets and buildings around you? Or the colours, sounds and patterns of nature? We would love to see an original painting by you on this theme!
How to enter:
Notes for teachers: The entry form needs to be completed by the class teacher and posted along with the A3 paintings made by your class to the address outlined below. Please write the child’s name, age, name of school, school contact number and title of artwork at the back of each artwork. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to return artwork received.
A shortlist of individual artworks for display will be made from entries received from schools throughout Dublin city for which a completed application form has been received. The judging panel consists of Jane Fogarty, Artist and Zooom@Hugh Lane Gallery Project Facilitator; Liliane Puthod, Artist and Jessica O’Donnell, Head of Education and Community Outreach, Hugh Lane Gallery. The class teacher will be notified by 24 June of any artwork selected from those submitted.
All classes entered and for which a completed application form has been received from the class teacher by the closing date of 10 June will be entered into a draw for one of ten €50 vouchers for the Hugh Lane Gallery bookshop.
